Rishabh Pant Responds to Rohit Sharma's 'Fake Injury' Claim in T20 World Cup 2024 Final

Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant discuss

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma recently disclosed a clever tactic employed by wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant that disrupted South Africa's momentum during the T20 World Cup 2024 final. The match was poised for a nail-biting finish, with South Africa needing 30 runs off 30 balls. In a bid to shift the momentum in India’s favor, Pant halted the game due to a knee injury, prompting the physio to come onto the field to treat him.

Rohit suggested that this incident effectively slowed down the pace of the game, allowing India to regain control, ultimately leading to their victory and clinching the title. In response to Rohit's remarks, Pant clarified that he had indeed asked the physio to take his time while on the field.
